Notes
- •Rates are hourly, for a 37.5-hour week. The annual figure shown is the hourly rate × 37.5 hours × 52.18 weeks, the convention the agreement uses to publish annual rates (7.29).
- •A nurse (2471) with a nursing bachelor's degree is credited 4 years of experience on the scale (6 with a master's), and is reclassified as a Clinical Nurse (1911) when she takes on that title's duties. Postgraduate nursing study adds échelons, or 1.5% to 3% of the top-step rate (up to 6%) once at the top.
- •The FIQ national provisions cover Santé Québec's nurses, clinical nurses, nurse practitioners and nursing assistants (and respiratory therapists and clinical perfusionists). Signed 5 December 2024 and in force to 31 March 2028, with the salary scales retroactive to 1 April 2023. Each establishment also has local provisions ("dispositions locales") that set its holiday list, shift times, meal periods and scheduling.
- •Increases: 2.6% from 1 April 2025, 2.5% from 1 April 2026 and 3.5% from 1 April 2027.
- •The 2026 and 2027 columns include the agreement's cost-of-living adjustment: Québec inflation for 2025–26 came in 0.11% above the 2.6% increase, so every scale rose 0.11% from 31 March 2026 before the 2.5% of 1 April 2026 was applied. Santé Québec paid the new rates from the pay of 11 June 2026, with back pay by 17 October 2026. No adjusted scale has been published, so these figures are worked out with the agreement's own method (rounded to the cent at each step), the same figures MyRoster uses. The printed scales booklet, which predates the adjustment, shows a few cents less (Nurse échelon 1 from 1 April 2026: $29.58 printed). The 2027 column assumes no further adjustment on 31 March 2027, when another of up to 1% is possible.
- •Steps (échelons): titles in rangement 19 and above move up every 6 months of experience for échelons 1 to 8, then once a year, so a nurse reaches the top of the scale after about 13 years. Nursing assistant titles move up once a year. For part-time staff, a year of experience is 225 days worked. New hires are placed one échelon per year of experience in the profession.
- •Evening, night and weekend premiums are a percentage of your base rate with a dollar minimum. Staff paid 70 hours or more in the 14-day pay period get the higher percentage (10% evening, 18% night, and 9% weekend in a 24/7 centre) with no dollar minimum. Premiums are paid only for the inconvenience actually worked — not on leave — and aren't included when overtime is worked out.
- •Part-time staff (including the availability list; there is no separate casual category) are paid 5.3% for holidays and 4% for sick leave (6% without salary insurance) on every pay. Their vacation pay is separate: 8% to 10% of the year's earnings from 1 May to 30 April, paid once a year.
- •Paid holidays: 13 a year (1 July to 30 June), with the list set locally. Working a holiday pays no premium; you get a paid day off within 4 weeks instead, or an extra day at double time if it isn't given. Christmas Day and New Year's Day worked pay 50% extra.
- •Full-time hours are 37.5 a week for most titles (7.5-hour days); on 12-hour rosters the regular day is 11.25 hours. Nurse practitioners work 40 hours. Pay is every 14 days. Full-time nurses earn 9.6 sick days a year, and unused days are paid out by 15 December.
- •Not shown: the per-shift supplement for replacing the head nurse for a full shift (7.06), higher-function pay (7.05), the split-shift premium (9.05), the operating-room course premium for nursing assistants (9.07), the full-time attraction premiums of Letter of Agreement 3, the surgical backlog lump sum (Letter of Agreement 29), mileage and education supplements (for example 1.5% to 6% of the top step for postgraduate study).

Notes
- •Rates are hourly, for a 37.5-hour week. The annual figure shown is the hourly rate × 37.5 hours × 52.18 weeks, the convention the agreement uses to publish annual rates (7.29).
- •The nursing assistant (infirmière auxiliaire) is Québec's licensed practical nurse. Échelons move up once a year. On échelons 1 and 2, the Letter of Agreement 15 lump sum lifts pay to the rangement 9 single rate — see the Allowances table.

Overtime & premium rates
Work beyond the regular day or week of your title, approved or known to your supervisor. Paid on the regular salary without the evening, night or weekend premiums (19.01, 19.03)
Plus the holiday pay (19.03)
Regular salary plus 50%. Overtime on those days is double that salary (7.08, 19.03)
A full overtime shift on the weekend (or at least 4 hours of overtime next to an 11.25-hour shift), when you worked all your title's hours and kept to your schedule for the 7 days before and after (19.04)
Titles that require a nursing degree (Clinical Nurse, IPS and the other university titles) are given the overtime back as time off or paid at straight time, except in centres open seven days a week and in specific critical care units, where 150% and 200% apply (Annexe 4, art. 3)
You are paid for the day and get a paid day off within 4 weeks before or after. If the day off isn't given in time, the extra day is paid at double time (20.02)
On a change of shift with less than 16 hours between shifts, the hours worked inside those 16 hours. Not on atypical or self-scheduled rosters (19.02)
Called back to work after leaving the building: at least 2 hours at the overtime rate, plus a travel allowance of 1 hour at straight time (19.06, 19.11)
One hour at straight time for each 8 hours on standby. A phone intervention while on standby is paid for the time taken, at least 1 hour (19.09, 19.10)
Paid on every pay instead of paid holidays and sick days: 5.3% for holidays plus 4% for sick leave, or 6% if you aren't covered by salary insurance. Not paid on the evening, night, weekend or rotation premiums (7.10 to 7.12)
Notes
- •Rates are hourly, for the 40-hour week of the nurse practitioner titles. The annual figure shown is the hourly rate × 40 hours × 52.18 weeks, the convention the agreement uses to publish annual rates (7.29).
- •IPS overtime is given back as time off or paid at straight time, except in centres open seven days a week and in specific critical care units, where the 150% and 200% overtime rates apply. A master's degree adds 1.5% of the top-step rate after a year at the top (up to 3% with a doctorate).
