Delete Your Account & Data

For MyRoster, developed by Jamie Lollback.

First — do you even have an account?

MyRoster works fully without an account, and most people never create one. You only have an account if you deliberately signed in to use Cloud Sync or Friends / Shift Sharing. If you never signed in, there is no account and no data of yours in the cloud — everything is on your phone, and uninstalling the app removes it.

Option A — Delete your account and all cloud data

This is the full account deletion. In the app:

Android: Settings → Cloud Sync → Account → Delete Account

iOS: Friends → Delete Account

This immediately and permanently deletes:

  • Your MyRoster account and its sign-in identity
  • Your profile, display name, and profile photo
  • All rosters, leave, notes, CPD entries and settings stored in the cloud
  • Any shifts shared with friends, removed from their view as well as yours
  • All friend connections — deleted from both sides, not just yours
  • Any pending friend invitations you sent or accepted
  • Your notification tokens

Data stored only on your phone is not affected by this — see Option C.

Option B — Delete your roster data but keep your account

If you want a clean slate without losing your account or your pay setup:

Android and iOS: Settings → Advanced → Delete All Roster Data

This permanently deletes all shifts, leave, and personal events across every job — on your device, and in the cloud on all your synced devices if you use Cloud Sync.

Deliberately kept so you don't have to set the app up again:

  • Your employment profiles and pay rates
  • Your grade and rate history
  • Your personal notes
  • Your AI chat history
  • App settings

If you want those gone too, use Option A or Option C.

Option C — Remove everything held on your device

Uninstalling MyRoster removes the app's entire on-device database — rosters, employment profiles, settings, notes and CPD entries. On Android you can also use Android Settings → Apps → MyRoster → Storage → Clear storage.

This is irreversible. Unless you had Cloud Sync switched on, or you exported a backup file yourself, the data cannot be recovered. Note also that uninstalling does not delete anything already stored in your account in the cloud, or in your own iCloud account on iOS — for those, use Option A, or remove MyRoster's iCloud data via iOS Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage.

Option D — Ask me to delete it for you

If you have lost access to your device or your account and can't use the in-app options, email me at hello@myrosterapp.com.au from the email address you signed up with, and ask for your account and data to be deleted.

I'm a solo developer and I read every email myself. I will action deletion requests within 7 days, and usually much sooner. If I need to confirm your identity before deleting an account, I'll reply and explain why.

What is kept after deletion

A small amount of information survives an account deletion, for reasons outside my control:

  • Subscription and payment records. If you subscribed, records of that purchase are held by Google Play or Apple, and by RevenueCat, my subscription provider. These are financial records and are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Deleting your account does not delete them, and I can't delete them on request.
  • Crash and diagnostic reports. These are anonymous, contain no roster or account information, and are deleted automatically under the standard retention policies of the diagnostic services described in the privacy policy. Because they carry nothing that identifies you, they can't be traced back to an individual account in order to be removed early.
  • Backup files you exported yourself. If you used the app's backup export, that file is on your own device or cloud drive. It's yours, and it's outside my control — delete it wherever you saved it.
