Notes
- •Figures are the base annual salary in $AUD, from Attachment A of the NT Police Force Consent Agreement 2025 (Tabled Paper 512): https://territorystories.nt.gov.au/10070/1019365
- •The Agreement runs from 7 August 2025 to 6 August 2029 and binds members up to and including the rank of Superintendent. Inspector isn't listed in the salary tables, and Commander and above sit outside this Agreement and are set under separate instruments.
- •Base salaries here do NOT include the Consolidated (shift) Allowance — a separate 23% loading on base salary (up from 20%), paid on top in lieu of shift and weekend penalties.
- •The Agreement has two leave options: a Seven Weeks Leave scale (the full rank ladder shown here) and a Six Weeks Leave scale, which pays roughly 2% more base for the same rank and pay point in return for working more days. Superintendent appears only on the Six Weeks Leave scale.
- •Aboriginal Community Police Officers (ACPO), Police Auxiliaries and Forensic Services Branch staff are each on their own separate pay scales.
- •Base salaries rise +5% (7 Aug 2025), +4% (7 Aug 2026), +3% (7 Aug 2027) and +3% (7 Aug 2028), with a possible extra top-up if Darwin CPI to March 2029 is above 3%.
- •The penalties listed are the overtime multipliers set by this Agreement. Public holiday and Sunday penalties for ordinary (non-overtime) shifts are set separately under the parent Police Arbitral Tribunal Determination.
