Notes

  • These figures are annual salaries in Australian dollars for Transport Canberra bus operations (ACTION) employees in the ACT Public Service — bus operators, transport officers, Special Needs Transport crews, workshop and trade staff, and administrative staff.
  • The agreement contains four wage steps: 6 June 2024 (a 1.5% increase), 5 December 2024 (1% plus a flat $1,500, with the full-time minimum salary lifted to $62,860), 5 June 2025 and 4 December 2025.
  • Bus Operator, BGSO, Transport Officer and Special Needs Transport figures are the annual composite rates printed in the agreement's pay schedule; other classifications are annual base salaries.
  • Hourly conversions assume a 38-hour week (76-hour fortnight), the basis used by the agreement's overtime formula; the agreement itself publishes salaries annually.
  • Overtime is calculated from annual salary (annual pay x 12/313 x the overtime multiplier x 1/76 per hour), with a minimum 4-hour overtime attendance and an 8-hour rest period after overtime; Senior Officers Grade C and above are not eligible for overtime.
  • During a declared significant emergency event, each shift loading increases by 7 percentage points (cl C17).
  • Allowance amounts are shown at the two most recent schedule dates (5 June 2025 and 4 December 2025).
