Step 1: Pick the first day.
On your roster, tap the first day of your leave. In this example, Monday 12 July.
Step 2: Open the add menu.
Tap the + button at the top.
Step 3: Add it by hand.
Tap Add Manually.
Step 4: Switch to Leave.
Tap Leave at the top. Changed your mind? Cancel at the top left closes it without saving.
Step 5: Choose the type of leave.
Under Leave Type, tap the type that matches your payslip. Annual Leave is picked to start with; in this example, we kept it. Unpaid time off has its own tiles, like Day Off and Leave Without Pay.
Step 6: Set the dates.
Scroll down a little. Start is the day you tapped. To add more than one day, tap the date next to End.
Step 7: Pick the last day.
Tap the last day of your leave. In this example, Friday 16 July.
Step 8: Close the calendar.
Tap anywhere to continue.
Step 9: Check the length.
Under Leave Duration, we kept Full Day. Only part of a day? Choose Part Day and pick the hours. The line underneath shows what you're adding: in this example, 5 days of Annual Leave, marked Paid.
Step 10: Leave Loading and notes (optional).
Scroll down. Leave Loading starts off; turn it on if your pay includes it. In this example, we kept it off. You can add a note at the bottom if you like.
Step 11: Add it.
Tap Add at the top right.
Step 12: See it on your roster.
Your leave shows on every day from start to end. Tap a leave day to see it; in this example, Wednesday 14 July. Leave pay for a block is worked out on your pay day.
Step 13: Close the box.
Tap the X.
Step 14: Off sick on a rostered day? Tap that day.
In this example, Thursday 8 July.
Step 15: Delete the shift first.
Otherwise you'll be paid for both. Tap the trash at the top.
Step 16: Confirm.
Tap Delete.
Step 17: Open the form again.
Tap the + button, then Add Manually.
Step 18: Switch to Leave.
Tap Leave at the top.
Step 19: Choose Sick Leave.
Tap Sick Leave. It's one day, so we kept the dates and Full Day.
Step 20: Save it as a template.
Sick days happen again, so tap Save Template near the top.
Step 21: Name the template.
Tap Template Name and type a name. In this example, Sick day.
Step 22: Save the template.
Tap Save.
Step 23: Add the sick day.
Tap Add.
Step 24: Next time, use Quick Add.
Tap the purple calendar button at the top.
Step 25: Switch to Leave.
Tap Leave in the Quick Add box.
Step 26: Pick your template.
Tap your template. In this example, Sick day. If the days you need are hidden behind the box, drag the roster up a little first.
Step 27: Pick the days.
Tap each day you were off. In this example, Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 July.
Step 28: Add them.
Tap Add. Quick Add adds a separate day of leave for each day you picked.
Step 29: Open your pay day.
Tap your pay day; it has a money bag. In this example, Thursday 29 July.
Step 30: See the details.
Swipe the box up.
Step 31: Find your leave.
Your annual leave and other leave are counted near the top. Scroll down and tap Regular Pay to see the leave pay: annual leave and other leave are listed separately.
Step 32: Close the box.
Scroll back to the top and tap the X.

Tap the pencil at the top. Edit Leave opens.
Step 35: Change what you need.
Change anything you like. In this example, the End date: tap the date next to End.
Step 36: Pick the new last day.

Step 37: Close the calendar.
Tap anywhere to continue. The line now says 4 days.
Step 38: Save the change.

Step 39: Made a mistake? You can delete leave too.
Tap its day. In this example, Wednesday 21 July.
Step 40: Delete it.
Tap the trash at the top.
Step 41: Confirm.
Tap Delete. It can't be undone. Leave with a Start and End date is one entry: deleting it from any day removes the whole leave, every day of it.
Good to know
- Shortcut: touch and hold a day, then tap Add Leave to open the Leave form straight away. The same menu has Edit and Delete for that day's leave.
- Pick the type that matches your payslip. Whether you can take a type of leave is up to your award or employer; you can ask AskAI what your award says.
- Part Day turns the dates into one day and shows an hours wheel (1 to 12 hours).
- Each full day of paid leave counts the hours set in Settings › Work Profile › Leave Days › Select Hours (8 to start). Unpaid types (Day Off, Leave Without Pay, Placement) don't count hours.
- Long Service Leave is always a full day. Sleep Break asks for its length in hours and minutes on one day.
- Leave Loading shows for annual leave only, and starts off on every new entry. You can turn it on later by editing the leave.
- Half Pay appears for Long Service Leave (and annual leave for some jobs): enter the full doubled dates.
- Your saved leave templates are under Templates at the top of the Leave form. Tap the pencil on a template to change it, or the bin to delete it.
- Quick Add's Leave tab needs a saved leave template first ("No leave templates yet").
- Several entries on one day? The pencil and trash ask which one you mean.
- Select Multiple Shifts doesn't include leave.
- On the pay day, Leave Days counts annual leave; sick days and other types are under Other Leave.
- The dates, shifts and pay in this tutorial are an example.
