Good to know

  • Told MyRoster you have more than one job when you set it up ("How Many Jobs?" › Multiple Employers)? Multi-Job Mode is already on.
  • Shifts you saved before turning it on stay on your roster but aren't tied to a job: they show without a job name, and their pay day shows them on their own card, "Shifts entered before Multi-Job Mode". Shifts you add after turning it on pick a job.
  • Once Multi-Job Mode is on, Change Job, your rate, employment, allowances, pay day, salary packaging, super and deductions are set inside each profile. Those Settings pages show a note and a Manage Profiles button.
  • Changing a job's state, role, grade, work hours, permanent or casual, or pay cycle later asks When did this change?: shifts before that date keep their old pay. A new name, colour or allowance saves straight away. Job History inside the profile lists the changes.
  • Touch and hold a job in the list for Edit, Set as Default and Delete. Deleting a job that has shifts asks again (Delete Anyway); the shifts stay on your roster without a job. Delete Profile is also at the bottom of the profile.
  • Same Employer As (Australia): link two jobs at the same employer so salary packaging counts once when their pay days are combined.
  • Combine Matching Pay Days: jobs in the same state with the same pay day and pay period show as one Combined Pay Summary, with the tax estimate worked out on the total.
  • Paid weekly, every 4 weeks or monthly? Pick it under Pay Frequency, then check the three dates match a recent payslip before you tap Create. Monthly pay also asks which day of the month pays. Deferred Payments is in each profile's Pay Period section too.
  • Leave, overtime, events and on call have the same Job Profile row at the top of their forms. On call shows only jobs that have on call.
  • Turning Enable Multi-Job Mode off keeps your profiles for next time. While it's off, every shift is paid with the job on your Settings job card.
  • Allowances, salary packaging and deductions for each job work the same way as in their own tutorials.
  • The jobs, rates and amounts in this tutorial are an example.
