Notes
- •These figures are the annual base salary in Australian dollars, effective from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2024 — the final of three 2.5% increases the agreement delivered from 1 July 2022, 1 July 2023 and 1 July 2024. The two earlier salary tranches are not shown; allowances list all three dated tranches.
- •The agreement passed its nominal expiry on 30 June 2025, but under the Fair Work Act it continues to operate until replaced or terminated. No successor agreement had been lodged as of July 2026, so these remain the current operative rates.
- •St John Ambulance Australia (NT) is the contracted provider of the Northern Territory ambulance service, and this agreement is the sole pay instrument for NT paramedics, patient transport officers, emergency medical dispatchers and call takers — there is no separate government ambulance award.
- •Ordinary full-time hours are based on a 76-hour fortnight (an average of 38 hours per week). Overtime is paid at double time.
- •Emergency Medical Dispatch Officer and Call Taker figures are composite rates as published in the agreement — the roster allowance is rolled in, and shift loadings do not apply to EMDs.
- •Shift loadings are paid on top of the base rate, but where more than one loading, penalty or overtime rate would apply to the same hours, only the single highest-value benefit is paid (cl 31). Employees on a fixed roster with regular night shift receive the 32.4% Roster Allowance in place of shift loadings.
- •Casual employees are paid the agreement hourly rate plus a loading of 25% on weekdays, 75% on weekends and 100% on public holidays (shown under Penalties), paid instead of allowances and penalty rates.
- •Allowances rose by 2.5% on 1 July each year of the agreement, except the Roster Allowance, Northern Territory Allowance and Living Away From Home Allowance, which stay flat across all three years.
