Step 1: Tap a day with a shift.
On your roster, tap any day with a shift. In this example, Saturday 12 June.
Step 2: See the details.
A small box shows your shift and what it pays. Swipe the box up to see the details.
Step 3: Read the shift.
Your role and grade show under the time. The big number (Shift Wage) is the whole shift; the small ones under it show where it comes from.
Step 4: Open Base Pay.
Tap Base Pay. It shows your hours and your hourly rate.
Step 5: Open Penalty Rates.
Tap Penalty Rates, then scroll down a little. Extra pay for weekends or nights shows here.
Step 6: Open Allowances.
Tap Allowances. The allowances you've switched on show here. Overtime opens the same way when a shift has it.
Step 7: Close the box.
Scroll back to the top and tap the X.
Step 8: Tap your pay day.
Your pay day has a money bag. In this example, Thursday 17 June. The box shows the dates this pay covers and the total before tax.
Step 9: See the whole pay.
Swipe the box up. Total Pay is the whole pay, before tax. Under it: how many shifts and hours.
Step 10: Open Regular Pay.
Tap Regular Pay. Each line shows its hours and rate, like a payslip.
Step 11: Open Penalty Rates.
Tap Penalty Rates, then scroll down a little. Each kind of extra pay has its own line. Allowances opens the same way.
Step 12: Take-home pay and closing the box.
For take-home pay, turn on Tax Estimate in Settings; the Tax tutorial shows how. Then scroll back to the top and tap the X.
Step 13: See the month.
For a whole month, tap the chart button at the top right of the month. Month Earnings is what the month's shifts pay. Close it with the X.
Step 14: Open Stats.
Tap Stats at the bottom. Stats adds up your pay for the period at the top.
Step 15: Pick a period.
Tap the period at the top to change it. Pick a pay cycle, a month, a year or the financial year. In this example, Current FY.
Step 16: Read Earnings and your sections.
Earnings shows your total pay and hours for that period. Scroll down: your own sections show too, like CPD and Expenses, then Work Patterns, Records, Trends and Pay Breakdown.
Step 17: Fold a section.
Tap a section's title to fold it away. In this example, Work Patterns. Tap it again to open it.
Step 18: Choose which sections show.
Scroll back to the top and tap the sliders button at the top right. Customise Stats opens.
Step 19: Switch a section off.
Drag the box up to see every section, then switch off one you don't need. In this example, Trends.
Step 20: Move a section.
Drag a section by its handle (the three lines on the right). In this example, Pay Breakdown moves up under Earnings.
Step 21: Save it.
Tap Done. Pay Breakdown now sits under Earnings, and Trends is hidden.
Step 22: Made a mistake?
Tap the sliders button again.
Step 23: Reset the layout.
Scroll down and tap Reset to Default at the bottom.
Step 24: Confirm.
Tap Reset. Every section is back where it started, switched on and open.
Step 25: Finish.
Tap Done.
Good to know
- Amounts are before tax. For take-home estimates, turn on Settings › Tax Estimate › Show After-Tax Estimates (see the Tax tutorial). Deductions and salary packaging have their own tutorials.
- A day with more than one entry shows Day Total instead of Shift Wage.
- Tap another day while the box is open and it changes to that day.
- On a public holiday the box says so, with the holiday's name.
- A clock on the role pill means that shift was paid under an earlier job; tap it to see your job history.
- A pay day with no shift of its own opens under a Day Off heading; the pay is under it.
- Money bag on the wrong day, or dates that don't match your payslip? Fix them in Settings › Pay Day.
- Turn on Show Employer Contribution in Settings › Superannuation to see your employer's super on each pay day.
- Add the Pay Day widget for a countdown on your Home Screen.
- Month Earnings counts the shifts in that month; a pay day counts its own pay period, so the two can differ a little.
- On short periods, Stats shows the change from the period before (for example "+$212 vs last pay cycle"). It isn't shown for All Time or a year that's still going.
- All Time includes shifts up to about three months ahead. For shifts further ahead, pick the year or financial year they fall in.
- For longer periods, the dates under the period end on the last day you have something entered.
- No Data for This Period? Pick a wider period, or tap Show All Time.
- Stats only counts what's on your Roster, including future shifts in the period you pick.
- The short note under your shift is Daily Mindfulness; switch it off in Settings › Customise.
- You can also ask AskAI to explain a shift or a pay.
- Multi-Job Mode: each job gets its own pay-day card, and Stats has a job button at the top right (see the Multi-Job tutorial).
- The shifts, dates and pay in this tutorial are an example.
