Good to know

  • In Australia, enter fixed amounts per fortnight even if you're paid weekly or monthly. MyRoster adjusts them to your pay.
  • A percentage is worked out on your gross pay for each pay period (up to 100%).
  • Any pay period that overlaps a deduction's dates counts the whole deduction for that period. Past pay periods keep what applied at the time.
  • Reimbursed to You (Australia, before-tax deductions only): turn it on for a deduction that's paid back to you, like some car parking or payroll giving. The pay-day card then adds a Net Pay + Benefit line, "Including reimbursed deductions".
  • Salary sacrifice to super isn't added here. Use Settings › Superannuation › Your Contributions.
  • Salary packaging has its own page (see the Salary Packaging tutorial). Your tax details, like the tax-free threshold, HECS/HELP and Medicare, are explained in the Tax tutorial.
  • In Multi-Job Mode, each job has its own deductions.
  • The UK and New Zealand have this page too. Enter amounts for your own pay period; there's no Reimbursed to You option.
  • You can also touch and hold a deduction for Edit and Delete.
  • The amounts in this tutorial are an example. MyRoster's figures are estimates worked out from your settings, not tax or financial advice, and your payslip may differ.
