"These figures are the full-time weekly base rate in Australian dollars. The 1 July 2025 column applies from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2025, and the 1 July 2026 column (a 2% increase) from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026.",
"This award covers NSW Ambulance control centre staff who are not paramedics: Trainee (Non-Paramedic Entry Level), Ambulance Control Centre Officer Years 1-6 (Level 1) and Duty Control Centre Officer (Level 2). Paramedic-qualified control centre roles — Duty Control Centre Officer (Paramedic), Senior Control Centre Officer and Aeromedical Control Centre Officer — and the non-paramedic Communications Training Officer and Educator are paid under the NSW Ambulance Paramedics (State) Award instead.",
"Apart from its own pay table, on-call allowance and crib-break rules, the award applies the NSW Ambulance Paramedics (State) Award as varied or replaced from time to time (clause 3) — so ordinary hours, shift and weekend penalties, public holidays, overtime, annual leave and leave loading, and the part-time and casual rules all follow the paramedic award.",
"The August 2026 variation restated the 1 July 2025 pay and on-call columns at higher figures than the award originally gazetted in November 2025, and added Years 3-6. The figures here are the restated ones, which the award applies from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2025 — check your payslip for how back pay was handled for 2025-26. Both readings give the same rates from 1 July 2026.",
"The award sets no rule for moving between Years 1-6, so pick the step shown on your payslip.",
"Ordinary full-time hours average 38 per week, and control centre shifts can run up to 12 hours 15 minutes. Part-time employees are paid an hourly rate of 1/38th of the relevant weekly rate; casuals receive that hourly rate plus a 10% loading.",
"Crib breaks: shifts under 12 hours get one paid 30-minute crib break, and modified-roster shifts of 12 hours or more get two, with no more than five hours worked without a crib break where practicable. The paramedic award's extra payment for a missed crib break does not apply in control centres.",
"The paramedic award's Control Centre Allowance and Control Centre (Standby) allowance are for paramedic and manager levels only, so they are not paid to non-paramedic Control Centre Officers.",
"Annual leave follows the paramedic award: a rostered shift worker receives six weeks' leave with eight weeks' pay, a shift worker not required to work public holidays five weeks, and a day worker four weeks, plus a 17.5% annual leave loading (for shift workers, the forgone shift and weekend penalties instead if higher). The public holiday rate depends on that leave category.",
"Allowances shown with only a 2023 rate (the meal and Living Away From Home allowances) are printed as \"TBC\" in the 2026 paramedic award, so the last figure it set is shown until NSW Health publishes an updated one.",
